About our classes:

Infant Feeding Essentials Class
The early weeks of parenthood are full of new experiences and a major part of that is figuring out how to feed your baby! Did you know that newborn babies need to eat an average of 8-12 times per day? If you're thinking, that's all I'm going to be doing for awhile - you're right! Learn the basic skills you'll need to breastfeed, chestfeed, pump, and bottle feed - or any combination of these!
This class will cover:

The basics of how your body makes milk and what you need to do to support this process

How to get breastfeeding or pumping off to a great start from birth

What to expect in the first few days and weeks of your baby's life in terms of feeding behaviors

Latch and positioning techniques to help your baby get a good attachment and avoid nipple pain and damage

How to know that your baby's getting enough
-
How to manage engorgement and avoid mastitis
-
Pumping practices and routines - the opportunity to see multiple pumps and ask questions you have about them!

Bottle feeding techniques, formula preparation, and more!

Partners are highly encouraged to come! - one ticket is good for both you and your partner or other support person. (Please Note: Partners do not include friends or other pregnant people, must be your direct support person, i.e. your husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc. Thank you! )

Pumping Prep

We all know pumps don't come with great instructions. We have all asked the questions...How do I put this together? How do I turn it on? When am I supposed to pump? Learn everything you need to know about how to use a pump, when to pump and how to manage going back to work while continuing to provide the best food for your baby.

This class will cover:

Reasons you may need or want to pump from the early days through your entire breastfeeding journey

We are proud to be offering the Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class!
This is a hybrid format class that provides both online learning to fit your busy lifestyle while also being interactive with the opportunity to meet virtually and in-person with your instructor and classmates for discussion and hands-on practice.
You will be supported and mentored every step of the way by your instructor, an experienced RN, doula, and EBB® Instructor!

Meet your instructor:
Hey, I'm Jenna Erickson an RN, IBCLC, doula, and EBB® Instructor. I'm passionate about you knowing your options, understanding the birth process, and feeling empowered going into your birth with knowledge and tools to make the experience the best it can be!
I have many years of experience in the hospital setting as an RN, I also have experience with home birth (I'm a home birth mom myself!) and as a doula. I'm very in touch with the local birth community and happy to share my knowledge!
My goal is to mentor you and your partner and guide you in exploring your options to have the birth you desire!

How does it work?
The EBB® Childbirth Class uses a unique blend of online lessons for you and your partner to watch at your own pace and interactive sessions with your instructor and classmates to discuss what you learned, ask questions, and practice skills.
Registration Includes:

6 months access to the Online Parent Academy which includes a digital workbook, course video modules, a PDF library of EBB's Signature Articles, acupressure handouts, guided relaxations and more!

In-person introduction class to meet your classmates and get started with the course

Two sessions on Zoom in between Intro and final comfort measures class to meet and discuss weekly online modules

Comfort measures class to learn hands-on techniques to prepare you and your partner for birth

In between each class session, there are fun videos and interesting articles for you to read to prepare for class sessions

Ongoing mentorship from your instructor during class and beyond for any questions you have!

Each registration is good for you and your partner. Any additional support person (doula, etc.) is welcome to come with to the final comfort measures class!
